By calling El Paso Electric's Trouble and Outage number, customers receive up to the minute updates on power outages and estimated power restoration times in their area. Additionally, El Paso Electric has the capability of handling over 4,000 simultaneous customer calls.
El Paso Electric will dispatch service crews based on the calls that are received through this line, whether the customer talks to a customer service representative or leaves a message. In addition, after restoration is completed, customers will receive an automated call from El Paso Electric verifying that their power is indeed back on.
