El Paso Electric actively participates in the community by supporting a diverse mix of civic and charitable programs whose efforts enrich the social well-being of children and families living in the Paso del Norte Region. EPE recognizes the importance of financial and in-kind contributions to civic and charitable organizations. Because many requests which are received each year far exceed available resources, EPE focuses its support on programs which:
- strengthen youth education in core academic skills
- prevent child abuse and domestic violence
- educate and train single parents for economic self-reliance
- promote the understanding of culture diversity and the appreciation of regional heritage
