Application for Approval of El Paso Electric 2007 New Mexico Renewable Energy Procurement Plan

El Paso Electric files its 2007 Renewable Energy Procurement Plan in compliance with the New Mexico Renewable Energy Act and the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission’s NMPRC Rule 572, NMAC 17.9.572, Renewable Energy as a Source of Electricity. EPE’s 2007 Plan, as explained below and detailed in the supporting testimonies of EPE Witnesses Ricardo Acosta and Jose F. Provencio, addresses EPE’s proposed actions and estimated costs for 2008 and 2009 to meet the Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard (“RPS”) requirements of the Act.
