El Paso Electric Announces New Senior Vice President of Operations
May 9, 2011Hector R. Puente, El Paso Electric’s Vice President of Transmission and Distribution, has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations for EPE. In his new position, Puente will oversee power generation, transmission and distribution and system operations for EPE.
Puente, who has worked at EPE for more than 30 years, has served in various capacities including, Vice President of Distribution Operations and Vice President of Generation, as well as other executive, management and engineering positions. Puente holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a licensed professional engineer.
“Hector brings a wealth of experience in both transmission and generation operations,” said David Stevens, El Paso Electric Chief Executive Officer. “His extensive experience as well as his knowledge of the communities El Paso Electric serves will be an asset to us as we plan for the future.
