UPDATE: Wallow Fire June 24, 2011
June 24, 2011As of today, the Wallow Fire in Arizona and New Mexico does not pose a significant danger to El Paso Electric’s transmission lines. The fire is 67 percent contained.
However, winds and heat/dryness of the area continue to be a concern until there is some relief from the weather. Any change in the proximity of fire and smoke to transmission lines will continue to be monitored.
