as Company’s Vice President and Controller
Cynthia S. Prieto is appointed as El Paso Electric’s (EPE) Vice President and Controller by the Company’s Board of Directors.
As EPE’s Vice President and Controller, Ms. Prieto will oversee the Company’s accounting, budget, tax, payroll and financial systems teams.
Ms. Prieto started with EPE in June 2006 in the Financial Accounting Department, and most recently has served as Director of Tax since March 2009. Prior to joining El Paso Electric, Ms. Prieto served as the Controller of Continental National Bank and as a Senior Manager at KPMG LLP. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of New Mexico.
Ms. Prieto also serves as the treasurer of the Kelly Center for Hunger Relief.
