El Paso Electric Celebrates National Lineworker Appreciation Day

El Paso Electric (EPE) is celebrating National Lineworker Appreciation Day today, July, 10, 2018, in partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 960. The day honors the thousands of lineworkers across the country who work hard every day to serve the power needs of their communities.

Lineworkers perform challenging tasks daily, focusing on the safety of our communities and ensuring that we have consistent and reliable power throughout our region. They are often the first responders in inclement weather and emergency situations, and work to maintain the electric grid working efficiently.

The City of El Paso, TX, the City of Las Cruces, NM, and Doña Ana County, NM have recognized and proclaimed today Thank A Lineworker Day.

A website open to the community to leave messages of appreciation for the lineworkers in our region has been launched. To visit the page and leave a comment, visit https://www.epelectric.com/thank-your-linemen/.

About National Lineworker Appreciation Day
