Senior Vice President, Customer Care and External Affairs
Richard Fleager, El Paso Electric's Senior Vice President of Customer Care and External Affairs, oversees El Paso Electric’s Customer Care, Public Relations, Government Affairs and Information Technology areas.
Fleager has more than 35 years of experience in the energy and information systems industries and most recently served as Vice President for Texas Gas Service Company where he was responsible for all activities associated with the delivery of natural gas to customers in El Paso, the Rio Grande Valley, and Permian area. He began his career with El Paso Natural Gas Company in 1973 where he served in various positions, the last of which was Vice President of Information Systems.
Fleager holds Master’s of Business Administration and Bachelor’s of Business Administration degrees from the University of Texas at El Paso. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Fleager is also active in several community organizations, which include the Del Sol Hospital Advisory Board, the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, Project Arriba, the U.T. El Paso Development Board, the U.T. El Paso School of Business Advisory Council, and the Boys and Girls Club Foundation.
