 Senior Vice President and General Counsel
As Senior Vice President and General Counsel for El Paso Electric, Gary D. Sanders is responsible for directing EPE's legal affairs as well as for EPE's compliance with federal securities laws, NYSE regulations and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Previously, Sanders served as Assistant General Counsel at EPE. Before joining El Paso Electric, Sanders was an attorney in private practice with Gordon & Mott P.C. as well as with Kemp Smith Duncan & Hammond, both of El Paso. He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from West Texas A&M University.
Sanders serves on the Boards of Directors of Avance and Hospice of El Paso and is a former president of the Board of Directors of the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation.
