Vice President, Transmission and Distribution
Hector R. Puente, El Paso Electric’s Vice President of Transmission and Distribution, oversees the execution of all functions of the Transmission and Distribution Divisions to assure the reliable transmission and distribution of power to customers in the El Paso Electric service territory.
Puente has been with El Paso Electric since 1980 and has served in various capacities including Vice President of Generation, Manager of Substations/Relay, Group Manager of Power Generation and Manager of Substations and Supervisor of Distribution Standards. Puente holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a licensed professional engineer.
Puente has been an active volunteer with the United Way of El Paso. He assisted the organization by serving as an Executive Officer on loan and as a member of the Allocations Committee and in 2006 he served as EPE's campaign coordinator.
