El Paso Electric Issues Request for Proposals for Renewable Energy Supply 2009

El Paso Electric (EPE) is issuing its 2009 Diversity Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit competitive proposals for diverse renewable energy resources that meet the requirements of the New Mexico Renewable Energy Act (REA) and New Mexico Public Regulation Commission’s renewable portfolio standard requirements. THIS IS A RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES RFP ONLY.

The REA requires that EPE provide a percentage of its New Mexico retail energy sales from renewable energy resources, as represented by renewable energy certificates (RECs). EPE will consider proposals from persons and entities responding to this RFP for RECs from supply-side renewable energy resources, with or without physical delivery of the associated energy.

Due to the number of questions received concerning the RFP, El Paso Electric is extending the deadline for the Proposal Due Date from November 13, 2009 to December 1, 2009. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Paul Garcia per the instructions in the RFP.

Please note, the RFPs are in Portable Document Format (PDF) and require the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. It is recommended that the Adobe Acrobat Reader be downloaded first. The Adobe Acrobat Free Reader can be downloaded here.
