| Texas Solar Photovoltaic PV Pilot Program El Paso Electric has a Solar PV Pilot Program which offers an incentive of $2.50 per DC Watt for new qualified solar electric distributed energy generating systems located in El Paso Electric's Texas service territory. Incentive funding must be requested by installation companies who meet certain eligibility requirements and are registered to work with the program.

| Solar Tower in Santa Teresa El Paso Electric has signed a power purchase agreement for the full capacity of a 92-megawatt (MW) concentration solar power plant to be built in southern New Mexico’s Doña Ana County. |
| Distributed Generation Interconnection Customers installing and interconnecting a renewable energy generator reduce the energy requirements that would be normally taken from El Paso Electric. At the end of the billing month, El Paso Electric would read the meter and bill or credit the net kiloWatt hours (kWhs) flowing from or to the EPE system. |
