Daytime Road Closure: El Paso Electric to Conduct Work Along North Loop Drive

EL PASO, Texas – As part of El Paso Electric’s (EPE) implementation of system reliability and infrastructure improvements, crews will be installing new communication fiber optic lines between substations in south-central El Paso. A road closure will be required along North Loop Drive between Woolridge Drive and where Delta and Trowbridge Drives meet from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday), June 11, 2019. Traffic control measures will be in place during this time, along with El Paso Police on-site to allow residents in the area to safely access neighborhood streets.

Commuters are asked to safely follow detour signs in the area. To safely travel around the work area, EPE suggests the following detour information:

Eastbound Traffic

  • Trowbridge Drive to Delta Drive down to Alameda Avenue
  • Alamdea Avenue to North Carolina Drive

Westbound Traffic

  • North Loop Drive to North Carolina Drive
  • North Carolina Drive to Alameda

Residential Traffic

Residential thru-traffic can also use both Dodge Road and Stiles Drive to help gain access to either Hawkins Boulevard or North Carolina Drive.

*Map of road closures is also attached separately.
