El Paso Electric to Close Loop 375 for Electrical Work Needed

March 17, 2017

El Paso, Texas – To enhance system reliability, El Paso Electric (EPE) will require an eastbound and westbound closure of Loop 375 between the Dyer Street exit (Exit 22) and the McCombs Street exit (Exit 24 A) from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017. All underpasses will remain open.

This closure is needed to allow EPE crews to safely run new power lines across the Loop to connect to a new substation in the area.  It is important that EPE complete these types of projects before the summer peak season when the demand and usage of electricity is at the highest.

Detour Information:

All traffic will be diverted to access roads off the Dyer Street and McCombs Street exits and east and westbound on ramps will also be closed as follows:

  • Eastbound on ramp between Gateway Blvd North and Kenworthy
  • Westbound on ramp between Bomarc Street and McCombs Street

Commuters are encouraged to safely follow all detour signs.
