Ben Nadler, Senior Engineering and Support Specialist at El Paso Electric, has been invited to present at the annual Esri Electric and Gas GIS Conference (EEGGC) to be held in San Antonio on October 20-23.
Esri is an international supplier of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software, web GIS and geodatabase management applications. Utility professionals from around the world come together every year for the EEGGC Conference to focus on maps, apps, and spatial analytics.
Nadler’s presentation, “Identifying Overloaded Transformers Using GIS and Meter Information,” describes how El Paso Electric is using Customer Information System data and GIS technology to improve system reliability by identifying transformers that have the potential to overload and replacing them before customers lose power.
Esri works with utilities on efforts to improve reliability, ensure safety, and keep customers happy. At the conference, Esri experts lead technical sessions and hands-on workshops. Users of Esri’s ArcGIS technology present innovative solutions to address common utility challenges such as outages and emergency management.
