El Paso Electric Receives Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Business Award
Las Cruces, NEW MEXICO – As chambers of commerce around the United States centralize their focus on business partnerships, the Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (LCHCC) takes a unique approach in recognizing the power of community organizations and the role businesses play in supporting these missions.
The recipients of the first quarter business awards exemplify their approach as they select El Paso Electric (EPE) for their First Quarter Large Business Award based on the Company’s community involvement and partnership program.
“The El Paso Electric Company has always provided the city of Las Cruces and the region with outstanding service and customer care,” said Curtis Rosemond, LCHCC president and CEO. “EPE continues to be an active participant in the communities and the region they serve. LCHCC and its members truly appreciate EPE’s commitment and dedication to our community.”
LCHCC explains that the quarterly business awards are extremely important to the mission of the chamber as it highlights the work and involvement local businesses and not-for-profits dedicate to enhancing the city’s quality of life.
“Las Cruces is unique in that it is a city with a small community feel, which is extremely important to local businesses and the quality of life for residents,” explains LCHCC Board vice-chair Lorenzo Alba. “El Paso Electric is a business partner of the LCHCC and many other organizations in Las Cruces working to emphasize economic and workforce development.”
“Our community involvement is embedded in our mission and is an extension of our core business because we acknowledge the strength of our company is only as strong as the communities we serve,” said Mary Kipp, EPE president and CEO.
