Road Closure: El Paso Electric to Conduct Work Along Delta Drive

Complete closure along Delta Bridge between Alameda Ave. and Trowbridge/North Loop

EL PASO, Texas – As a continuation to an ongoing infrastructure upgrade project, El Paso Electric (EPE) will be replacing transmission lines along Delta Drive – the overpass bridge section of Delta – between Alameda Avenue and Trowbridge/North Loop Drives tomorrow (Tuesday), May 14, 2019 from 8:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Overnight traffic control measures will be in place from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

This portion of Delta Drive is expected to reopen no later than 6:00 a.m. the morning of Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at which point traffic control measures will be lifted.

Commuters are asked to safely follow detour signs in the area.

Detour Information

Both north- and southbound lanes along Delta Drive – the portion of the overpass bridge – will be closed between Alameda Avenue and where Trowbridge Drive and North Loop Drive transition. Detours are as follows:

• Driving Westbound (south of railroad tracks): Alameda Avenue, turn right on Clark Drive toward Trowbridge Drive
• Driving Eastbound (south of railroad tracks): Alameda Avenue, turn left on North Carolina Drive toward North Loop Drive
• Driving Westbound (north of railroad tracks): North Loop Drive transitions into Trowbridge Drive, turn left on Clark Drive toward Alameda Avenue
• Driving Eastbound (north of railroad tracks): Trowbridge Drive transitions into North Loop Drive, turn right on North Carolina Drive toward Alameda Avenue
