Road Closure: EPE to Conduct Work Along Edgemere Boulevard

Road closure to also include RC Poe Drive

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Electric (EPE) will be replacing electric distribution lines in far east El Paso to increase system reliability. This work will require two road closures beginning tomorrow (Wednesday), June 12, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. along Edgemere Boulevard between Tierra Este Road and Rich Beem Boulevard, and RC Poe Drive between Tierra Este Road and Edgemere Boulevard. Traffic control measures will be in place during this time.

Residential and business owners will still be able to access their properties during this closure. Commuters are asked to safely follow detour signs in the area. To safely travel around the work area, EPE suggests the following detour information:

Eastbound Traffic

• Travel along Montana Avenue, make a left on Tierra Este Road
• Travel along Tierra Este Road to Pebble Hills Boulevard to connect to Zaragoza Road

Westbound Traffic

• Travel along Montana Avenue, make a right on Rich Beem Boulevard
• Travel along Rich Beem Boulevard and make a right on Zaragoza Road to connect to Pebble Hills Boulevard
