At El Paso Electric, we power more than homes and businesses — we power collaboration. Our commitment to the community extends beyond being just a public utility. That’s why we support local organizations that seek to make a positive impact in our region.

Community Giving

Our connection to our communities extends beyond providing energy safely and reliably. We pride ourselves in bettering the communities we serve through employee volunteerism, charitable giving, and working with nonprofits.

We’re proud to lend our time as well as financial support to hundreds of local organizations committed to creating stronger, vibrant communities and helping those in need.

Feeding the Fight Against Food Insecurity

Casa de Peregrinos, a non-profit food pantry, believes that everyone deserves nutritious food on their plates. As our Community Partner, their mission helps alleviate the hunger of over 30,000 people in Doña Ana County. By supporting their work, they have distributed millions of pounds of food that feed different populations affected by food insecurity.

Education is Worth The Investment

Education is a vital component of innovation because it empowers teachers and students to explore, research, and use technology to discover something new.

We’re proud to help light the way for the next generation of innovators and creative thinkers working to become the better paid, higher quality workforce of the future.

Building a Community of Innovation

Fab Lab El Paso is a nonprofit STEAM organization and Community Partner that is igniting the fire of imagination and inspiring creative problem solving in our local youth. Their Electric Code initiative empowers students with core, competitive skills like coding. With El Paso Electric’s help, they’re able to take their program out to area schools, providing access to even more students. Ultimately, they’re working to place students at the frontline of technology education, preparing them to succeed in a tech-driven economy.

Sparking Curiosity

STTE Foundation, our Community Partner, is just one of the several local organizations committed to innovating in education. As a non-profit STEAM education intitiave, the STTE Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the competitiveness of the Borderplex by improving students’ digital literacy, and providing access to STEAM fields and entrepreneurship opportunities.
