Six local contractors help customers be energy efficient and lower their electric bills

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Electric (EPE) is proud to recognize the six recipients of the Texas Energy Efficiency Top Participating Contractor Awards for 2022. EPE’s Energy Efficiency Programs partner with local contractors to help homeowners and businesses lower their electric bills and reduce their carbon footprint by making their spaces more energy efficient.

In 2022, our participating trade partners helped over 1,600 Texas residential customers save nearly $342,000 on their energy bills and they also helped our commercial customers avoid the emission of over 11,500 tons of carbon dioxide.

The contractors were recognized at the 2023 Texas Energy Efficiency Programs Kickoff Event where EPE provided existing participating trade partners and potential new participants with program information. EPE also shared the programs’ environmental and economic successes of all of our collaborative efforts and provided updates to energy efficiency measures that qualify for incentives.
