Mary E. Kipp is the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer and is also a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Kipp has been with El Paso Electric since 2007, with responsibility for many divisions of the Company, including regulatory and rates, risk management, human resources, external affairs, customer care, environmental and safety. Kipp has also served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.
Before rejoining El Paso Electric, Kipp was an attorney in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Office of Enforcement, Greenberg Traurig, LLP, and El Paso Natural Gas Company.
Ms. Kipp serves as Deputy Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas; Board Member of Landis+Gyr (SIX Swiss Exchange: LAND); and Chair-Elect of SEPA (Smart Electric Power Alliance). She is also Chair of the Borderplex Alliance, and on the Executive Committee of the Texas Business Leadership Council.
Kipp received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Williams College in Massachusetts, a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law, and is an alumnus of Exeter College, Oxford University.
