Rocky Miracle, El Paso Electric Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for the risk management, security, compliance, renewable development, and corporate development functions.
Prior to joining El Paso Electric, Miracle served as the Director of Business Operations Support for American Electric Power’s Texas operations. Miracle began his career with the Texas Utilities Company System (TXU) in 1975. In 1990, he joined Central and South West Corporation (CSW) as Assistant Treasurer and later held positions in CSW Energy, and Regulatory Services. Following CSW’s merger with AEP, he served as a Director in Mergers and Acquisitions, and Commercial Operations. His utility experience also includes financing, cash management, corporate planning and financial forecasting, regulatory, fuels acquisition, power generation development, including renewables, generation resource planning, power marketing, supply chain, and accounting.
Miracle is a native of Wills Point, Texas, the author of the nonfiction book, Mrs. Cordie’s Soldier Son (Texas A&M University Press, 2008), and Captain, U.S. Navy Reserve (Ret.).
Miracle also serves on the Advisory Council of the El Paso USO. Past community service includes the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club Foundation of El Paso, The Board of Directors of the HUB of Human Innovation, the Advisory Board for the College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Commerce, and the Board of Directors of the Texas A&M University-Commerce Foundation, Inc.
