Providing the Power You Need
At El Paso Electric, the beginning of each day is our opportunity to fulfill a commitment to bring clean, efficient and reliable energy to our community of nearly 400,000 homes and businesses.

We have over 100,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines that carry electric power from generating stations to customers throughout our service area.
To compare, the United States is approximately 3,400 miles wide from coast to coast. These lines can provide over 1,700 MegaWatts of electricity, enough to power our community during peak usage.

More Than a Century of Service
Since 1901, our customers have been our top priority. This dedication to service endures to this day. As we look to the future, we do so with one goal: To help you power your day so you can focus on the things that matter most.

Every year, El Paso Electric helps hundreds of children in our community by contributing toward science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related programs and scholarships. Over one million dollars has been donated to charitable organizations that include these types of educational endeavors.

Powering our Growing Community
Providing electricity for our 10,000 square mile service area takes a diverse energy mix. That's why we're continually exploring solar and renewable energy. It's all part of a plan to bring power to our growing region.

El Paso Electric's team of almost 1,000 employees works 24/7 to restore power as quickly as possible in the event of an emergency.
