El Paso Electric Team Member Named to Regional Economic Development Board

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Electric (EPE) team member Alejandra Montalvo has been named to the Progress321 Board of Directors.

Progress321 is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization that connects professionals across sectors, disciplines, generations and cultures that are each dedicated to making the southwest region the best place to live, work and create through a variety of cultural, social and economic development initiatives.

“Our more than 1,100 family members who make up El Paso Electric go beyond providing safe and reliable energy to our customer by becoming uniquely involved with the community they live and work in as well,” shares Jennifer Borden, EPE director of regulatory accounting. “Over the years, Alejandra has consistently demonstrated a passion for giving back to the community she serves and grew up in, and I know she will use that same level of dedication and leadership to propel Progress321 and their mission.”

Alejandra Montalvo is a native El Pasoan and graduate of Americas High School in east El Paso. Alejandra earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas El Paso (UTEP), and her Public Utility Regulation and Economics Graduate Certificate from New Mexico State University. During her last year at UTEP, Alejandra was recruited to join EPE’s Corporate Development Team as an intern where she soon after joined the Company full time with the Customer Accounting Team in 2013. Alejandra is now with Regulatory Accounting.

Alejandra has been an active volunteer with the Junior League of El Paso since 2015 holding various leadership positions. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for Progress321, she will also be co-chairing the ‘El Paso Everywhere’ initiative for the organization that highlights key advancements in the local area to El Pasoan expats.
