NEW MEXICO AMS PROGRAM ADVISORY GROUP PROCESS AND PUBLIC MEETINGS

El Paso Electric Company (EPE) invites members of the public to attend a series of advanced metering system (AMS) Program Advisory Group Meetings. EPE is forming a New Mexico AMS Program Advisory Group (Advisory Group) pursuant to the Stipulation entered into in the above-referenced case ordered by the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission’s (“Commission” or “NMPRC”). EPE will schedule quarterly Advisory Group meetings starting in January 2023, with more meetings added to the schedule upon a majority vote of the Advisory Group Participants, to achieve the following objectives:

to collaborate on development of, testing of, and an implementation schedule for program and services to enable full customer use of AMS capabilities.

Public input is critical to the development and implementation of EPE’s implementation for programs and services to enable full customer use of AMS capabilities. EPE encourages all members of the public to attend these public meetings to provide public input and public commentary, whether as a residential or business customer or a representative of a trade, non-profit, neighborhood, shareholder, civic or other group.

The first scheduled meeting will be held on January 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. MDT via Zoom. The Public Advisory process will be explained, and additional meeting dates will be set at that time.
