El Paso Electric (EPE) is committed to reducing emissions and maintaining transparency regarding our operations. As part of the Air Permit Settlement Agreement (Section 3.7), we are providing quarterly emissions reports for Newman Unit 6.
Key Environmental Commitments
- 40% Reduction in CO2 and NOx emissions from original permit levels.
- $500,000 commitment for VOC emissions offset credits.
- No future fossil fuel generation at Newman Generating Station (excluding Unit 6).
- Regular public reporting on emissions data.
