El Paso Electric Upgrades to New Customer Service System
El Paso Electric (EPE) would like to inform our valued customers that our customer care department and customer features will be unavailable as we transition to a new customer service system. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as we strive to improve our services.
WHAT: Customer Care phone, chat, and email services, the Manage My Account online portal, the EPE Mobile App, and payment kiosks will be unavailable.
WHEN: Beginning at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2023 and will resume regular operations at 7:00 AM on Monday, February 27, 2023
WHY: These improvements will enhance and leverage our technology ahead of our smart meter deployment that is scheduled to begin in the spring and will allow us the capabilities needed to support smart meters.
Customers experiencing a power outage during this time can report it by calling (915) 877-3400 in Texas or (575) 523-7591 in New Mexico. Customers wanting to make a payment to their account can use Western Union or BillMatrix. Payments made through these third-party vendors, and scheduled payments, will be posted on Monday, February 27. Questions can be sent to email@example.com and our customer care team will respond by February 28.
