National Utility Organization Names El Paso Electric Team Member As 2nd Vice Chair

EL PASO, Texas – Western Utility Group (WUG), a national working group and committee of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), has named El Paso Electric (EPE) team member and Environmental Compliance Supervisor Kenton Martin as 2nd Vice Chair.

WUG is comprised of utilities across the western portion of the United States who work alongside federal agencies that advocate for and address regulatory issues related to natural resources and public lands through federal policies. EEI is a national association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies representing over 220 million families across the country and more than one million team members. WUG is one of several committees that serve to advance the electric utility industry in a way that serves customers in a more efficient, sustainable and reliable manner.

Kenton Martin joined EPE in 2015 as an Environmental Scientist and was promoted to Environmental Compliance Supervisor in 2019. Martin is a native New Mexican where he still residens and is passionate about discovering and pursuing ways EPE can better serve the environment and our customer.
