EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Electric’s (EPE) podcast, Empowering People with Energy, releases the fifth episode in its second season that features useful energy efficiency tips for customers to stay cool this summer as temperatures continue to rise.

Empowering People with Energy – The E.P.E. Podcast was launched in July 2021 as a means to connect with the community by pulling back the curtain on technical topics within the energy industry and help customers unlock the power they have when it comes to their energy consumption. This fifth episode makes a timely release with the start of summer around the corner showing customers useful and cost-effective ways to conserve energy and save on their electric bill.

The E.P.E. Podcast, typically hosted by President and Chief Executive Officer Kelly A. Tomblin, featured a guest host and fellow EPE team member Itzel Figueroa. Itzel is a Power Generation Accountant.

Itzel shares: “It was incredibly insightful to learn of all the easy choices we can make to keep our home cool this summer while also managing costs. Sometimes it is easy to overlook something simple like what kind of lightbulb is lighting a room, but a simple switch to an LED bulb can make a huge difference.”

As guest host, Itzel welcomed some of EPE’s Energy Efficiency Team – Don Johnson, Senior Energy Efficiency Program Coordinator and Crystal Enoch, Principal Energy Efficiency Program Analyst.
