James A. Schichtl

Vice President, Regulatory Strategy

As Vice President of Regulatory Strategy, James (Jim) Schichtl is responsible for the oversight and direction of EPE's Economic Research, Rate Research, and Regulatory Case Management groups. He also directs and has responsibility for leading the Customer Care and Meter and Field Services groups. Previously, he acted as Vice President of Regulatory Operations and Resource Planning.

Jim began his career with EPE in 1992 as a Rate Design Analyst and spent 18 years with Southern California Edison Company in a variety of regulatory functions before returning to EPE in 2012. He has held several other key positions within EPE, including Senior Regulatory Case Manager, Manager of Economic and Rate Research, and Director of Regulatory Affairs.

Over his career, Jim has attended and presented material for numerous seminars and workshops related to cost of service, rate and program design, and regulation. He represents EPE on the Board of Directors of the Association of Electric Companies of Texas and is a long-time member of the EEI Rates and Regulatory Committee.
