Hot summer days create heavy demand on the energy grid when the operation of refrigerated air conditioning increases. The Energy Wise Savings Program allows us to work together to be more efficient, which can also save you money and reduce carbon emissions. To participate, your home must have a smart thermostat that can be controlled remotely during occasional summer periods when energy demand is seasonally high. The Program works with your smart thermostat to learn your preferred settings and help manage your energy use while keeping you comfortable during periods of high demand.

By participating in the Energy Wise Savings Program, you’re also helping our community and EPE reduce demand on the system. You can sign up with your new or existing eligible NEST, ecobee, or Sensi smart thermostat. EPE is offering a one-time enrollment incentive of $25 for each smart thermostat (limit two per household) enrolled and approved by EPE, plus a $25 annual participation incentive issued at the end of each demand response season, June 1 through September 30.
