I-10 CLOSURE April 15, 2018: Closure Required for Completion of Transmission Work

EL PASO, Texas — El Paso Electric (EPE) will be performing electrical work that will require an eastbound and westbound closure of I-10 between Loop 375 and Lee Trevino from 5 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

This closure is needed to allow EPE crews to safely replace a power line across I-10 to interconnect to a nearby substation. This project is part of EPE’s ongoing maintenance work to improve reliability.

Traffic control measures are expected to begin at approximately 3 a.m., with the full closure in place by 5 a.m. EPE crews will begin utility work immediately after the closure is secure.

Detour Information:

  • Eastbound:  All traffic must exit at Lee Trevino; Commuters will be directed to take Lee Trevino to North Loop to Loop 375
  • Westbound:  All traffic will be diverted to Loop 375 south; Commuters will be directed to Loop 375 south to North Loop to Lee Trevino
