David Rodriguez is Vice President of Power Generation and leads 150 employees in all areas of the company’s Power Generation Division to include Engineering, Asset Management, Power Plant Operation and Maintenance, Outages, and Generation Construction Projects.
Prior to his current position, David served as EPE’s Sr. Director of Support Services and Supply Chain Management where he oversaw the company’s Facilities Services, Facilities Project Management, Fleet Services, Materials Management, Procurement Contracts, and Supplier Diversity/Investment Recovery teams.
Rodriguez joined El Paso Electric in 2003 and has held various positions including Director of Support Services, Manager of Support Services, Project Manager/Business Development Analyst, and Power Plant Operator.
David was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. After graduating from Irvin High School, he served six years of active duty in the United States Navy as a Boiler Technician during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. David holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an MBA with a concentration in Finance, both from the University of Texas El Paso. He is a certified project management professional and has recently been accepted to serve as a Board Member for RMEL.
