El Paso Electric Provides Winter Blankets to Sparks and Agua Dulce Communities
EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Electric (EPE) recently provided $5,000 worth of winter blankets to families in the Sparks and Agua Dulce communities, helping residents stay warm during the colder winter months.
The blanket distribution was coordinated by El Paso Electric with support from El Paso County and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, which assisted with identifying families and facilitating distribution. Community partners helped ensure the blankets reached residents who needed them most.
“Cold winter nights can be especially hard on children, seniors and vulnerable residents. A warm blanket may seem simple, but it can make a meaningful difference for families across our community,” said Karmen Mayorga, Community Engagement Specialist at EPE. “This effort reflects our commitment to supporting the well-being of our neighbors we serve, especially during the winter season.”
The distribution took place at Sparks Park and Agua Dulce Park, where volunteers worked to provide blankets directly to previously identified households. This effort is part of El Paso Electric’s ongoing focus on community support and local engagement.
