Commercial refrigerators and freezers that have earned the ENERGY STAR qualification are designed with better insulation and more efficient motors and compressors. Choosing ENERGY STAR® qualified reach-ins over standard models will help to lower energy consumption and utility bills.
The Knowledge You Need.
- Available only to commercial customers in El Paso Electric’s New Mexico service area.
- Qualifying equipment can be installed for retrofit, replace-on-burnout, or new construction applications. All equipment must be electric.
- Solid and Glass Door Reach-In refrigerators and freezers must meet CEE or ENERGY STAR® minimum efficiency requirements.

Participation Made Easy.
- Select a contractor or distributor of your choice. Customers may also apply for an EPESaver ENERGY STAR® Solid and Glass Door Reach-In rebate without contractor or distributor assistance.
- Take photos of the newly installed equipment. Photos should clearly show the product manufacturer and model information.
- Complete the EPESaver Solid and Glass Reach-in calculator and submit a copy of your receipt or invoice. The calculator can be accessed using one of the options at the bottom of this page.
- Your rebate will be mailed directly to you. Rebate checks will be mailed within 4-6 weeks of receiving the application.

Save time and fill out your rebate application online.
After registering and confirming your email address, please select the “Customer” option in the profile wizard. You will need digital copies of your invoice or receipt and additional documentation on the work performed.
