El Paso Electric Celebrates ENERGY STAR® Day

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Electric (EPE) is celebrating ENERGY STAR Day! ENERGY STAR certified products ranging from appliances, electronics and home upgrades save customers energy and money. This officially recognized mark for energy efficiency was developed to make it easier for consumers to find and buy goods that offer energy bill savings without compromising functionality, features, or comfort.

With the installation of ENERGY STAR certified products, EPE offers energy efficiency incentives to residential, commercial, and income-qualified customers in Texas and New Mexico. EPE offers incentives for products with the ENERGY STAR certification which include:

  • Lighting
  • Air Conditioners
  • Pool Pumps
  • Windows and Sliding Glass Doors
  • Commercial Food Service Equipment
  • Smart Thermostats
  • ENERGY STAR® certified new homes in the EPE New Mexico Service Territory

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) presented EPE with the 2022 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award in recognition of the company's outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy achievements. EPE also earned the ENERGY STAR Residential New Construction Market Leader Award in 2021 and 2022. This award honors EPE's noteworthy efforts and achievements in offering ENERGY STAR certified homes to families throughout its service area.
