ROAD CLOSURE: El Paso Electric Contactor to Conduct Work Along Horizon Blvd.
Project to help meet growing demand in far east region
EL PASO, Texas – As part of an ongoing effort to meet the growing energy demands in the far east region of the El Paso Electric (EPE) Texas service territory, the Utility’s contractor – GSW Electric – will need to safely run new distribution lines across the intersection of Horizon Boulevard and Rodman Street. This will require a complete closure along Horizon Blvd between Darrington Road and North Kenazo Avenue this Sunday, May 23 from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This will include the hike and bike trail along the northside of Horizon Bvld. Road closure and traffic detours will be assisted by the Horizon City Police Department.
The suggested detour route is connecting to Eastlake Boulevard using either Darrington Rd or N. Kenazo Ave. Commuters are asked to respect construction signage and barricades and be mindful of reduced speed limits.
